Contact Cover July 2008 – QFleet
The Contact cover for July 2008 was to highlight the involvement of government entity QFleet in promoting the Red Nose Day appeal. We took a QFleet vehicle and parked it at Southbank in such a way that we could photograph the city in the background.
The main challenge in lighting this was simply getting enough fill light on the people in the photo. Although it isn’t a technically brilliant photo, and it was taken in the middle of the day (the worst time to be taking photos like this without shade), we got a result that suited the purpose. Lighting was through shoot through umbrellas outside of frame aimed at hitting the various faces at full power to compete with the mid day sun.
We also took the opportunity to take some other photos of QFleet for use in Annual Reports and other corporate publications.
